Honolulu Dance Company Peforming Divisions by Definition
Professional Division
The HDCo. Professional Division consists of a core of outstanding dancers who must be proficient in performance, mature in character and able to contribute their skill and artistry to the Company.

Honolulu Dance Studio provides the continuing dancer, adult or graduate HDCo. performer the opportunity to continue their enhancement of their technical and performance skills.  Professionsal Division members must be versatile, self-disciplined and completely self-motivated.  The product of their training should reflect the confident poise of a performer who can answer to the demands of any audition, agent or director.


Adult and Senior Divisions
The HDCo. Adult and Senior Divisions are comprised of enthusiastic dancers with advanced technique, skills and performance quality.  They adhere to HDCo. requirements and display model behavior during classes, rehearsals, workshops and performances.

Self-discipline, poise and humility are demands of every dancer achieving these levels.  Members of these divisions must be responsible and motivated to uphold character and excellence.


Teen and Junior Divisions
The HDCo. Teen and Junior Divisions are similar and parallel each other in the required dance abilities.  As each division level progresses, so should the technical skills and performance quality of the dancer.  Members of these divisions comply with HDCo. requirements and maintain exemplary behavior during classes, rehearsals, workshops and performances. 

These advancing dancers steer away from a conceinted self while striving to reach their personal best in order to qualify into the advanced Company levels.


Keiki Division
The HDCo. Keiki Division consists of the youngest members of the Company who seek a more disciplined curriculum early in their dance experience.  Beyond improving their dance skills and self-confidence, Keiki Division members are required to develop a cooperative attitude toward their peers and instructors.  The development of self-discipline and self-motivation is imperative in order to benefit the HDS team.
